Nice little place for a quick bite (we had breakfast). Excellent pimento cheese!!

AMAZING service!!! Wow!! We went here last year for breakfast, so we stopped in this year and the food is delicious!!! And everyone is so nice and always say hi as soon as you walk in. They all work together so they don’t ignore you if your aren’t their table because here everyone is their guest!! The pork roll and burrito just out of this world as well as the pimento grits and well..... I do not like donuts but my husband does.....however these are the best donuts ever and the only ones I will eat!! We went there 2 days in a row and plan on going back tomorrow. Great job to the staff and owner!!!

Really enjoyed the home made biscuits. Wis we could have taken a dozen donuts they smelled awesome. Nice that it can be breakfast and donuts in the am and then dinner and a bar in the pm

Best meal of the whole trip. Baked Mahi with linguine and clams. The grits and shrimp straight from Nawlins. Go now !!!

Went fishing in Hatteras and dropped in for dinner. Pleasantly surprised! I ordered the fish tacos which were very fresh and delicious. They bring all the ingredients and you make your own tacos. All ingredients were super fresh. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits but it's a twist on the dish. It's a thick broth base with grit cakes and shrimp. It was really delicious. Overall a great place to eat. Everyone was very polite and pleasant. Meals were a little pricey but I'm sure location as a part in that. Otherwise a great place!

Really great donuts! Staff is very friendly. We stopped in right as they opened (7 am) on a Sunday. We order and within 10 minutes they had a dozen freshly made Donuts in our eagerly awaiting hands. Cannot recommend this spot enough.

Made reservations for a party of 12, got us in effortlessly. The crabs were steamed perfectly and had plenty of meat! I’m full, have a slight buzz and am pretty happy! Great beer menu, awesome seafood options and options for the kiddos along with great service! Thanks!

Great little place for surf, turf, apps and drinks! Spicy crab bisque and mussels to start.14oz medium rare NY strip was great with bacon dressing spinach salad. Crab cakes were very good too. We would definitely return.

We first had the Ketch 55 signature shrimp and grits nearly 10 years ago, and it was life-changing! We've been talking about them ever since. Now, so many years later, we had them again tonight, and they are even better than we remembered! We also had the Asian tuna and the seafood nachos for an appetizer. Amazing! What more can I say? Ketch 55 is worthy of its great reputation!

Definitely one of the outer bank's hidden treasures. GREAT breakfast sandwiches. Didn't try the donuts, but they looked delicious. Service coulda been a little more personable, but overall I'll absolutely be back.

An excellent meal. Great service and great seafood. The shrimp and flounder were excellent. The nightly specials look great - we will come back soon. They have a wide beer selection with some interesting North Carolina beers as well.

Great food and service. We had 18 in our party and our waitress acted like we were her only table. The food was served hot, quick and fresh. I had the shrimp tacos! We will definitely be back

Food was good. For some reason had a extra 15.00 dollor charge to my already 90 dollor bill.

I gave it 4 stars for one reason and that reason was it took a long time to get our food. I assume though this might have been because we were a party of 14. Now that aside the food was prepared prefectly. The steak was cooked to perfection and the seafood was great. So if you are in town and looking for something delicious, stop here.

Food was delicious. Grabbed a dozen donuts to go. Beautiful atmosphere. Cute trivia cards at every table. Had a really great experience here.

If you’re looking for an exclusive dining experience in Avon, Ketch 55 is the place to be. Asian Tuna would be an excellent choice and the sweet pea risotto is extraordinary. It is quite a busy restaurant, they don’t take reservations but still better to call if you’re coming with a big party!

Here in Hatteras this week with family out of Raleigh, decided kind of spur the moment to go out for some seafood and ended up at Ketch 55!! A lot of seafood places on the island, so glad we ended up there. The food was incredible, the service equally incredible! Only thing better was time with a family! Thank you Ketch55!!!

Food was very good. We tried the Seafood nachos. Excellent! My husband loves steamed shrimp. They have the best so far.

The seafood lasagna was great and so was the fried fish. But others like the chicken tacos and the broiled shrimp could defiantly use some improvement.

Very good food and excellent service. The fried shrimp was great even though I don't like shrimp normally. The burger was awesome too.

Have had amazing food here, but also had meh food here. Seems hit or miss.

Came on a Sunday night and we almost had the place to ourself. We read the reviews and they were good so we decided to try them out. I had the shrimp and grits and they were superb. We had nothing to 7:30 and everyone enjoyed their meals except for one and Sunday thought that it should have been better for the price. I would definitely go back and have the shrimp and grits.

Their seafood nachos are nothing short of amazing! Fresh seafood prepared perfectly. Generous portions. I had enough leftovers for the next day's lunch! Great dinner experience!

Second year in a row we ate here. Very happy with the food. Had to do take out this year but the time from order to pick up was reasonable. No additional or unreasonable costs for us. We’d definitely go back.

Service was 5☆, drinks were good, shrimp and grits were amazing and the mussels were equally amazing. I ordered a shrimp po boy for $13 and it had 5 shrimp inside needless to say I was very disappointed with my choice. Below is the way I've gotten poboys in the past, what I received look nothing like this

Many tables available outside with no one seated at any of them. We asked the hostess if we could sit outside and she rudely said no. Calamari was dry and tasteless, like rubber bands with freezer burn. Our waiter was rushing us, seemed half asleep, clearly did not want to be bothered with anything. Then the food came - crab cakes had zero taste. My husband ordered shrimp and grits, the grit cake was good and the only enjoyable part of our experience.

The seafood and appetizers were delicious. The tuna sliders were reminiscent of a tuna poke. The calamari tender. The salmon, crabcakes, seafood lasagna, and the shrimp and grits, were all delicious. Nice cold cocktails and beer after a day on the beach was just what we needed!

Fantastic service and food. They are worth a stop.

Dinner at Ketch 55 tonight was very good. We started with the Smoked Tuna Dip and the Calamari. Both were very good. For dinner we had the Seafood Lasagna - outstanding! The N.Y. Strip Steak was also very good and cooked perfectly. We will be back.

Went here for breakfast (Stu's Donuts and Breakfast). Everyone was super friendly, the food came out super fast and I lucked out because it was national donut day and I got a free donut! The biscuits are delicious and made from scratch, so give em a try!

The food at Ketch55 was excellent, with the burgers juicy and the seafood made just right. Better yet, our server, Isabella, rocked it on service! She knew the menu by heart, and had instant and amazing recommendations for what to eat. When you come to Ketch55, ask for Isabella - you won't regret it!

Service and food were amazing. Shrimp was a little over cooked but still tasted good. Cute little place to get a great dinner!

This place! My experience was wonderful. I cook for a living and I appreciate REAL home cooked food. These people have the knack for it. They have the real deal. The sausage gravy and biscuit was awesome. My homemade breakfast burrito was to die for. With homemade salsa. And the friendly service that started as soon as you set foot in there. We were greeted with a genuine hearty hello from across the room. This lady loved her job, was good at it and it showed. If you like the old fashioned cooking style you will like this place.

I ordered the Liver & Onions meal from the menu. I then heard one of the wait staff proclaim to the other "you're going to be so heartbroken when I tell you what it is...a calf's liver!"-followed by awww. The group of them then stared me down like a criminal while I ate. My kudos to the Chef because the meal was prepared to perfection, but needless to say I wasn't able to enjoy my meal because the judgement passed on me for a meal I was paying high dollar for left a bad taste in my mouth.

I went there a week ago. Prices were way too high for the seasonless food. I had several different things I had an appetizer couple different main courses everything did not even have basic seasoning for salt and pepper!

The crab cakes were great and the mashed potatoes with roasted red peppers was a delightful surprise.

We called to order takeout during the COVID pandemic. We were hung up on after a 30 minute hold but decided to call back and try again.We picked up the food and they still charged a $40 "service fee" that couldn't be taken off as they say it covers a tip. I have never been anywhere that charges a service fee for takeout orders. Not only that, they gave us an incorrect item in the order after they read back our initial order on the phone.Food was okay but I would not say it was worth the hassle. Go to Froggy's and get your money's worth. You don't go on vacation to feel with nonsense like this.

I can’t speak on the food, but the service was horrendous. The restaurant was fairly busy, so I expected a wait once we we seated. However, I wasn’t expecting to have only the drink orders of three of our party(8) taken before he left when I was in mid sentence and just never came back. We saw our server come back to every table around us but it kind of seemed as if we’d been forgotten. Since we hadn’t ordered, nor had anything brought to our tables we decided it would be for the best to try one of the friendlier, more attentive restaurants in the area. I suggest that you do the same.

Phenomenal food and service! It's our first time in Avon and our only regret is that we didn't go to Ketch 55 earlier in the week as the other two dinner restaurants we went to were lacking in both taste and service. We had the calamari appetizer, I had the broiled shrimp and scallop dish with broccoli and mashed potatoes and my husband had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was delicious!! Chase, our server, was awesome! Thanks to this establishment for ending our wonderful vacation on a delicious note!
